Configuration for the Apple iOS

Bomgar now enables customers to run custom configuration profiles on their iOS (iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch) devices, automating routine support tasks such as email or WiFi. This update enables Bomgar administrators to make profiles available to iOS users simply and easily and give users access to secure, controlled content.  Apple iOS Configuration Profiles can contain device security policies, VPN configuration information, Wi-Fi settings, Exchange account settings, mail settings, and certificates that permit iOS users to work with a variety of systems. Running a configuration profile is just like installing an App.

Leave a Bomgar Button on BlackBerry Smartphones at the end of a support session, or mass deploy them via the BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES).

Placing this icon, or Bomgar Button, on the screen of BlackBerry Smartphones gives users a one-click method for requesting remote support. Bomgar Buttons can route users to previously defined technicians or support teams.

Customize the Bomgar Button icon, name, portal relationship, expiration and session-start options.

Some of the Bomgar Button deployment parameters can also be modified, including associated queue, expiration date and description.

More Enhancements for the Bomgar Button

Centrally manage Bomgar Buttons from the Representative Console, viewing how many are deployed and their usage statistics.

Allow Bomgar Buttons to reflect the Issue Submission Survey options of a particular support portal. The Bomgar Button can still be configured to require a session key.

Network administrators can now monitor the Bomgar Box using Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP).

Once SNMP monitoring has been activated, admins can monitor network, hard drive(s), memory and CPU statistics on the remote support appliance.

Application Sharing for Mac

Customers on remote Mac desktops can now select to share only specific applications with their support rep.

Application sharing enhances the security of remote support sessions by allowing remote customers to determine the level of access given to technicians. When you request limited screen sharing, a selection window will pop up in front of the customer client chat window. After screen sharing is granted, the application selection window can be accessed by clicking the arrow at the right of the customer client. Depending on your site settings, your customer may always be able to select applications from the side menu, even if limited screen sharing was not specifically requested.
